Endocrinologist, internist and researcher with over twenty years of clinical, academic and scientific experience. Recognized expert, with over 40 peer reviewed papers and book chapters and invited speaker in international meetings. Previously, a combat physician in the IDF (paratrooper brigade 202 & 'Maglan' special forces unit; 19972001), Senior physician in Internal Medicine, Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel (2001-2011), research fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Ralph A DeFronzo in the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA (2011-2013) and Principal Scientist in Late Stage Development- Clinical Research Diabetes & Endocrinology, Merck Research Laboratories (MRL), Rahway, NJ, USA (2013-2016). Currently the Director of the Diabetes Unit in the institute for Endocrinology, Metabolism and Hypertension, in the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel and the director of the Central District Diabetes Clinic,  Leumit HMO, Israel.
